John Parker Obituary
Reverend John W. Parker passed away peacefully on Jan 15, 2022 at age 77. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Stella Parker; Fr. John was the beloved brother of James (Patricia) Parker and Mary Alice McDonald; he is survived by nieces and nephews Anne (Dan) Lotito, Ellie McDonald (Jeff Zoeller), Jim (Carrie) Finley, Michael Parker, John (Laura) Finley and Megan (Tony) Esposito; great uncle, cousin and friend of many who will leave many past parishioners heartbroken. During his priesthood, he devotedly served at St. Odilo, St. Andrew, Nativity of Our Lord and All Saints-St. Anthony Parishes. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a parish of your choice. Visitation Thursday at St. Gerald's Church (9310 S. 55th Ct. in Oak Lawn) from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with a Mass of the Christian burial at 11:30 a.m. Interment St. Casmir Cemetery. My deepest sympathy on your loss. I´ve know Fr Parker since HS we worked our summers at City Hall way back when I also reacquainted with him years ago when I worked for Watra Church Goods our loss heaven´s gain.

my wife Loisann Cannon went to grammer school together and i knew him as a good basketball player at DeLaSalle h.s. she always said he was the smartest student in the class but every now and then she would score a higher grade than him and she loved to do that. my brother Rev. Michael Flynn was a priest at NATIVITY and knew him. i am sad to say both of them are deceased now and together in heaven. my condolenses to the family of father parker.
