Dear Joyce and Nutley Family:

Please accept our deepest sympathy upon the loss of your husband, brother,brother-in-law, and Uncle. Jack was a treasured and valuable friend to us as well as he was to countless others who had the privilege of having him touch their lives. "Melody" will never be the same without his smiling face and the concern and interest he showed for all his customers. We were very fortunate to have known him for the past 25 years and Jack will forever be remembered in both of our hearts and prayers.

Love, Tom and Karen Schultz

On behalf of all of us at Mainstreet in Countryside, I want to express my deepest sympathies to Jack's wife and family. For many years now I have been stopping in at Melody Lane after work at the store for a cold beer and conversation with Jack.

For all of those years, Jack always had a good word and a smile, and was simply a lot of fun to be around.

He is truly one of a kind, and his warmth, generosity and spirit will be sorely missed.

I am one of Jim Meadows' daughters. My brother, John, contacted us today about Mr. Nutley's death. Please accept my sincere condolences. My father spoke so fondly of Jack through the years! He considered him a true friend.

Dear Mrs. Nutley,

My sympathy on the loss of your husband, Jack. Mr. Nutley was such a huge part of our lives. I am one of the older Meadows girls and remember Mr. Nutley from my childhood. In fact, he gave me my first job at the A & P in Western Springs. My Mother and Dad were so fond of both of you. My family and I will keep you in our prayers. Fondly, Katie Meadows Hestdalen

Dear Mrs. Nutley,

We were all saddened to hear the news of Jack's death. Our father, Jim Meadows, was a regular for years at Melody Lane. I can't count how many times I accompanied my father for lunch when I was a kid, and Mr. Nutley's kindness was overwhelming- each and every time we saw him. On behalf of the Meadows family, please know our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. Sincerely, John Meadows
