Jack,
Please accept my deepest sympathy for you and your family on your loss. I had the honor of meeting your dad only once for an afternoon almost ten years ago but thoroughly enjoyed his company. He left a lasting impression with me as a good and kind man. He will be in my prayers.

To the McLaughlin Family,
Our deepest sympathy goes out to each of you. We are unable to be with you this weekend to celebrate his life and mourn his loss, but know that we are holding you in our hearts. And we are holding a smile in our hearts, too, in memory of Jack - his humor, passion, loyalty, enthusiasm and generosity of spirit were such gifts to all of us O'Carroll offspring.

To all the McLaughlins,
I'm so sorry for your loss. Uncle Jack was such a joy to be around. I have many happy memories of time spent with him. Many of the "O'Carroll Clan" picnics would never have happened without his planning and organization skills. Who else would have the foresight to be in line in January to secure a permit for the family picnics in the summer? His rallying cries were the driving force behind the family softball games, and he made sure that everyone participated. I have fond memories of basement parties after the South Side St. Patrick's Day parades, trips to the Blue-Gold games at Notre Dame, backyard BBQ's.... the list goes on and on. He always made everyone feel welcome, was a great storyteller, and of course the consummate White Sox fan!
God Bless you Uncle Jack, we'll miss you!
Love,
Rich Vaughan (a.k.a., Ricardo J. Montelban)
