John McHugh Obituary

McHugh, John age 77, of Chicago, died peacefully at home with his family by his side. Beloved husband of 43 years to Bridie (nee Halloran), loving father of John Jr. (Susanne), Martin (Jodi) and Gerard (Jennifer). He was preceded in death by his daughter, Nora, proud grandpa to Morgan, Sloan, Keely and Ethan, dear brother to Nellie Bordes, Patrick "P", Bridget Rowland and the late Molly Green, Thomas, Michael and Martin and dear brother-in-law to many, uncle to many nieces and nephews who will miss their "Uncle John". He was a cherished friend and neighbor. John was Chief Engineer of the Monroe Building and a member of Local 399 Engineer's Union for over 35 years. His courage and persevervance was an inspiration to all who knew him. He was a great-man. Visitation at Cooney Funeral Home, 625 Busse Hwy., Park Ridge, Thursday, from 3 to 9 p.m. Funeral Friday, 10:15 a.m., to St. Constance Church, Chicago. Mass at 11 a.m. Interment Maryhill Cemetery. Dear John,

We are so sorry for your loss! We hope that you will find comfort in knowing that from the time you learned of your Dads illness you were right there by his side every step of the way. We hope that in being there for your Dad, you will have peice of mind and some closer. If you need anything at all John and I are here for you always you know that.

John had endured much pain and sorrow in this life as well as much happiness and joy surrounded by his many family members and friends who all loved him.
