John McGuire Obituary
Beloved husband of Lisa passed away suddenly on February 6. He joins his late parents Anna and James McGuire into The Kingdom Of Heaven. He helped raise and was a father-figure to Brandon, Joshua, Danielle, Ashley and Jessica. John was a retired engineer for CPS schools. He enjoyed golfing and playing pool while listening to Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra. He was also a big fan of the Chicago White Sox. He is survived by his siblings, Marianne (Chris) and James. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews and grand children that adored him. Loved by all but as John would say, "WHATS NOT TO LOVE?"

When I saw John at my Fathers funeral; a time of immense pain for me. John did something that I will never forget. He gave me a box and told me to open it when I got home. Inside was a handwritten note telling me that he wanted me to have this memento of our Grandfather for me to keep. He said he knew how close our Grandfather was to my Dad, and hoped this would easy my pain. A gesture I will never forget. That moment for me defined who John was, at his core, a very kind and caring soul. God Bless John and his family.
