Beloved husband of Celia "Ceil" (nee Page), loving father of Bill, George (Rita) McFarland, Kathy (Joe) Gulli, Melanie Isit, John McFarland III, Rick (Janette) and Mark (Janet) Vecchi and Tricia McFarland, cherished grandfather and great-grandfather of many, dear brother of Geri (Harry) Wilkinson, Leona (Andy) Bailye, Evelyn (Bill) Bailye, Sheila (Jack) Walsh, Bob (Joyce) McFarland, Sandi (Tom) Domagala and Peggy McFarland and the late Phyllis McFarland, fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Member of Local 710, Former employee of Advanced Transportation Company for 35 years. Visitation at the Schmaedeke Funeral Home, 10701 South Harlem Ave., Worth, Wednesday, 3 to 9 p.m. Lying in state at the First Baptist Church of Palos Hills, 11015 W. Eastwood Dr., Palos Hills, Thursday, October 4th, from 10 a.m. until time of service 11 a.m. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. 708-448-6000.
