John Lisik Obituary



John E. Lisik, 72, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2004 at his home.

Born in Grassflat, Pa., he had been an Akron resident since 1956.

He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. John was em ployed by General Tire for over 26 years, retiring in 1982. Mr. Lisik served in our United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was also a member of Jednota Branch 333. John was proud of his truck and his cars and to the last held out hope for his favorite team, the Cleveland Indians.

Mr. Lisik is survived by his first love, his wife of 36 years, Audrey Grace and the second love of his life, his children and their spouses, Brock and Mich elle Dannemora of New York, Brian and Tami of Norton and Craig of Los Angeles, Calif.; his beloved mother, Anna Lisik of Lakewood; grandchildren, Kelsey, Curtis, Derek, Tarah, Billie, Cecilly and Christian; sisters, Betty (Steve) Zahuranec of Lakewood, Margaret (Bill) Panik of Elyria and Mary (John) Basal la of Lakewood.

Funeral services will begin on Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Funeral Home, 95 W. Waterloo Rd. and continue with a Mass of Chris tian Burial to be held at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, where V.F.W. Post 3383 will conduct military honors. The family will receive friends Sun day from 2 to 6 p.m. and Monday 9:30 to !0:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
