Kenny Sr., John P. age 83, beloved husband of Virginia (nee Leach), loving father of Michael T., Neil F. (Myrna), Mary L., Anita M. Rice, William E. (Kim), Virginia E. (John) Borik and the late John P. Jr., dearest grandfather of 18, great grandfather of two, dear brother of the late Mary M. (Hubert) Masson, devoted son of the late Patrick J. and Margaret M. Kenny of Bruff, County Limerick Ireland. Veteran U.S. Army WWII, retired after 37 years of service with the Illinois Bell Telephone Co., member and union steward of I.B.E.W. Local #134, member of Knights of Columbus Madonna Council #1135, Co-coach of the Stars Morley Baseball Team, a lifelong resident of Canaryville and a faithful member of St. Gabriel Church. Funeral Tuesday, 9:15 a.m. from Thomas McInerney's Sons Funeral Home, 4635 S. Wallace St., to St. Gabriel Church for Mass of the Resurrection at 10 a.m. Visitation Monday, 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Gabriel Church Building Fund, 4522 S.
