A Poem for Stan and family

When im Gone

when I cometo the end of my journey

And I travel mmy last weary mmile

Just forget if you can, that I ever frowned And remember only the smile.

Forget unkind words I have spoken;

Remember some good I have done.

Forget that I ever had heartache

And remember I've had loads of fun.

Forget that I've stumbled and blundered

And sometimes fell by the way

Remember I have fought some hard battles

And won, ere the close of the day

Then forget to grieve for my going,

I would not have you sad for a day,

But in summer just gather some flowers

And come in the shade of evening

When the sun paints the sky in the west.

Stand for a few moments beside me and remember only my best

our brother was a character of his own. he was skydiver, stunt man, actor, runner and loved sci-fi novels. always willing to talk to anyone no matter who they were or where they came from. always willing to make a new friend. john had a good life and was well taken care of. he was always looked after no matter what type of situation. he was our older brother and knew it. he definitly acted the older brother part. and we will miss him dearly. the house is not going to be the same without him. we love you john and look over us when u need to. he was a definiite kaim. he will be missed by many...

Dear Steve and Family,

Sorry to hear of your dear brother's death, I'm sorry I didn't see it when it first appeared. I would have attended the wake and/or funeral. Know that I am praying with and for you and your family. Death is not an easy trial but it is a fact of life over which we have no control. John is at peace. He is in a loving God's care. Now we must attend to those whom he left behind. Take care. If there's anything I can do for you, please don't hesitate. I have asked a dear Friend of mine (a Benedectine priest from St. meinrad) to remember John and your entire family in the Holy Liturgy of the Mass. Blessings! Sister Josephine M Sferrella IHM
