Hoffman, John M. 76, of Plainfield, longtime of Bridgeview, IL, at peace July 28, 2009, he was born July 22, 1933 in Cicero to the late Onne and Agnes Hoffman, beloved husband of 55 years of Lee (nee Catalano), loving father of John Jr. (Mary Lynn), Steve (Barb), Scott (Ann) Hoffman, and Gina (Drew) Johnson, proud grandpa of Elyse, Matt, Jenna, Hannah, Melanie, Melissa, Beau, Nicole, and Alex, dear brother of Nell (Bob) Witt and the late Grace (the late Milt) Frosh, uncle of many. Longtime employee of Continental Can Co., Elk Grove Village. For those who prefer, memorials to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave, 7th Floor, NY, NY 10001 would be greatly appreciated. Visitation Thursday, July 30, 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Overman-Jones Funeral Home, corner of Routes 30 and 59, Plainfield. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 31, 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, 15629 S. Rt. 59, Plainfield. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Justice.
