To son Kevin, of John "Jack" Hickey, you carry a tradition of hospitality and good will with you. Nothing comes from nothing and you have become today what parents and upbringing initiated. We only know you now as a grown man. My Mary and I share your sentiments at this moment in your life and willingly take what grief you choose to share. .. "Good job, 'Jack'."

Very sorry to hear about Jack. I knew him through Progress Printing. Although I moved away some years ago, I remember the great conversations we had. I will always remember him fondly. Rest In Peace Jack.

Beautiful obituary, thanks very much to the author. I knew Clarence "Bingo" best of the six Hickey siblings, but I clearly recall Aunt Marge having beautiful daughters and tall, handsome sons. We were blessed with thirty-one first cousins on the McNicholas side. Aunt Marge started reproduction first with her six, and she was passed by Aunt Gert who had seven (including twins) but the youngest of my uncles - Donald - was the most prolific with ten offspring. I think we have now lost: five / Hickeys (Aunt Marge), plus two / Farrells (Aunt Gert), plus two / McNicholas (Aunt Helen), plus one Gavin (Aunt Mae) So sorry I cannot appear in Chicago tomorrow. At least one of my siblings and one of my children will represent my father's family - he was Jack's Uncle Kevin. RIP cousin Jack.
