Diversey, Sr., John E. passed away peacefully at home; beloved husband for 50 wonderful years to Patricia, nee Walcott; devoted father of John, Jr. (Lori), Ann, Liz (Paul) Pluschkell, Dan (Michelle) and Steve (Kathy); proud grandfather of John III, Kyra, Ryan, Tommy, Allison, Bradley, Jillian, Kaitlin and Roman; dear brother of Edwin and the late Robert; fond uncle of Many. Visitation at the Cooney Funeral Home, 3918 W. Irving Park Rd., Chicago, from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral Wednesday 9:45 a.m. to St. Benedict Church, mass 10:30 a.m. Interment Maryhill Cemetery. Korean War Veteran, avid golfer and fisherman. In lieu of flowers donations to Swedish Covenant Hospital Foundation, 5145 N. California, Chicago, IL 60625 would be appreciated. 773-588-5850.

I am so sorry to hear about your dad. My sister saw the obituary today and called me. Unfortunately, I am working tomorrow night and cannot make the wake. Will you be in town for awhile? My phone number has not changed.
