Dear Corrigan Clan (Jane, John, Margaret, Barbara, Robert):
Joan (McElin) wrote me around Xmas of your father's death. You have my heartfelt condolences. As I wrote to Sylvia, I have many lively memories of playing "Oh Hell" with John and Sylvia et.al in Kenilworth. I still have a postcard he sent to me once congratulating me on a bank loan I set up per his advice.
I hope you all have many fond memories of your Dad to recall in the years ahead -- I know that's helped me and my family keep Dad a part of our lives.
Sincerely,
Therese Therrien

So sorry that I just learned (by accident) of John's death. He & I had lunch on July 18 (him hosting me, as always, at the Glen View Club), at which time he told me he had pancreatic cancer (the same disease that killed his Dad & my Dad) & that it was inoperable. A death sentence but John, as always, was ebullient & happy. We had a great conversation as always. Since then, I've been in Hawaii & missed seeing the notice of his death. John was my first boss in business, at The First Natl.Bank of Chicago. We met in August, 1970, & were close friends from that time forward. What a great guy. I'm so sorry I'm just now learning of his death. My love & condolences to his whole family.

Some of my happiest memories as a child was when "Gitzie" Vern Corrigan visited with us at our home. She had an infectious laugh and was a great joy to be around. My parents, my sister and I enjoyed her immensely. John Corrigan was very much a reflection of his Mom, who was extremely proud of him and understandably. John was exceptionally intelligent and had a great business acumen. Everyone who knew him was proud to be associated with him. John was very good to my Mother and was always there for her. They shared a very strong and special bond. I will always deeply appreciate his kindness to our Mother.
