JOHN BARNES Obituary

Barnes, John William

1/16/31 - 1/31/13

Beloved husband, father, and grandfather, John died peacefully at home in Santa Ana, CA on January 31, 2013. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War and fought at the Chosin reservoir. He was a lifetime member of VFW. He was an active member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and served as an Eucharistic Minister and an usher for many years along with participating on several committees. He is survived by his wife Helen of 56 years; children, Carol (Jeff Reiss), Elizabeth Jaime (Duane Skaim), John (Kimberly) and Jerry (Veronica); grandchildren, Amanda and Kyle Reiss, Christina, Tiffany and Brandon Jaime, Alexandra Barnes and April and Michael Barnes. The Rosary was followed by the Mass of Christian Burial on February 2, 2013 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Costa Mesa, CA. In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church or the charity of your choice.
