Johanna Krizanovic Obituary

Krizanovic, Johanna (nee Wieringer), age 79, of Wood Dale, IL. passed peacefully at her home in the company of all of her children Saturday, July 24th 2010. Beloved wife of the late Georg Krizanovic, dear mother of Vera (Sam) Bravata, Klaus (Marie) Krizanovic, Claudia (Anthony) Bravata and George (Kelly) Krizanovic. She is also survived by nine grandchildren (Sam Jr. & Jonathan Bravata; Brandon & Jordan Krizanovic; Tony Jr. & Kristin Bravata; Hayley, Cole & Avery Krizanovic), as well as her beloved brother Karl Wieringer and niece Heidi Peheim, both of Austria. Johanna and her late husband Georg immigrated to the US from Austria in 1956. Johanna worked at Garden City Envelope Company in Chicago in the late 1950s through the late 1960s. They owned and operated two Family Pride Laundromats, (Milwaukee and Devon location and Belmont and Cicero location), from the late 70's thru 1991. Johanna also served on the HOA board of Brookwood on the Green in Wood Dale for over ten years. Her selfless dedication to her family, cheerful attitude and love for her grandchildren will be deeply missed. A celebration of her life will be held Tuesday, July 27th from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Geils Funeral Home, 260 West Irving Park Rd, Wood Dale, IL 60191. A private interment will be held on Wednesday, July 28th, at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, Hillside, IL.
