JOEL LINDSTADT Obituary
A Memorial Service for Joel L. Lindstadt, 53 of Chico, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at the Paradise United Methodist Church, 6722 Clark Rd. in Paradise. Joel passed away on March 13, 2010 at Enloe Hospital after a 2 year battle with Cancer. He was born February 5, 1957 in Westpoint, Nebraska to Jack and Carol Lindstadt. Joel served in the Marine Corps.
Joel graduated from Montgomery High School and Santa Rosa Jr. College and the Police Academy. Joel was a Police Officer for the Cotati, CA Police Dept. for 2 years and a Police Officer for Paradise Police Dept. for 28 years. In his youth, he was in Civil Air Patrol. Joel raised a family and was known for his wit and humor.
He is survived by his son, Landon Lindstadt and daughter, Alyssa Lindstadt, both of Chico; a stepdaughter, Brieanne Sains of Chico; grandchildren, Alex and Gavin of Chico; and his parents, Jack and Carol Lindstadt of Santa Rosa, CA.
Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the Paradise Police Officers Association for scholarships in Joels name, Paradise Police Dept., 5595 Black Olive Dr., Paradise, CA 95969. Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.bidwellchapel.com.

It had been a few years since I'd seen Joe, but I carry many fond
memories of him, from way back in his school days.
I'd like to offer my sincere condolences to his family and friends.
He left us way too young!

I had the pleasure of knowing and working with Joel at Cotati Pd. He also shared a house with 3 of us.

Joe and I were fellow police academy cadets in 1978. I appreciated his wit, candor, and his economy of words. I am privileged to count him as a friend. He is already missed.
