JoAnn Roberts Obituary

Roberts, JoAnn K. Leavitt 78, of Norman Avenue, formerly of Chicago, died, March 2, 2005, at the Masonic Healthcare Center in Wallingford. She was the beloved wife of the late Marcel Roberts. Born June 7, 1926, in Chicago, IL, she was a daughter of the late Lewis and Estella Smith Leavitt, and had been an Evanston, IL resident before moving to Wallingford six months ago. She had been employed as a baker by Heinnemanns Bakery in Chicago and was a Hospice volunteer for many years. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and James Costanzo of Wallingford; her two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Laurie Roberts of Egg Harbor, WI, and David and Lissa Roberts of Wilmette, IL; her eight grandchildren, Emily Johnson and her husband John, Ashley Roberts, James Costanzo, Michele Pallas and her husband Doug, Caleb Roberts, Luke Roberts, Tyler Roberts and Noah Roberts; her four great grandchildren, Joseph, Abbey, Ethan and Chase; her sister, Margaret Quinn of San Diego, CA; and her brother, Alan Leavitt of Chicago, IL. Mrs. Roberts' family would like to extend their gratitude to the MasoniCare staff of ACU 3 Sturges and 3 Sturges Rehab. Her family will receive relatives and friends at Liberty Community Church, 540 Washington Ave, North Haven, CT, on Wednesday, March 9, from 11a.m. until 12 p.m. A memorial service will follow at 12:15 p.m. in the church.
