Joan Schutter Sholty, age 98, of Naples, FL, formerly of Kenilworth and Glenview, IL, passed away Friday, July 9, 2021, in Naples. Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E., in 2000. She is survived by her children, Robert Jr. "Peter" (the late Francine) of Prescott, AZ; Stephen (Marcia) of Grosse Pointe, MI; Elisabeth "Lisa" Sholty of Coral Springs, FL; Paul (Susan) of Northbrook, IL; and David (Jade) of Easley, SC. She was also the loving "Momma Joan" to her grandchildren, Kathleen and Kristine Sholty, Michelle and Stephen Sholty, and Robert, William, and Anthony Sholty. Joan had a wonderful life. She loved to entertain, make elaborate meals, spend time with her family, and travel throughout her life. Visitation, Thursday, August 12, 2021, from 10:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass, 11 a.m., at Sts. Faith, Hope & Charity Catholic Church, 191 Linden St., Winnetka, IL. She will be buried the following day next to her husband and parents at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, in Appleton, WI.
