Ed, Mary Jo, Hugh -- we just learned of your mother's death (the Trib's hard copy arrives several days late). As you know Hugh was Ross' dearest friend; Joan was always most kind & gracious warmly welcoming us into your home. We have fond memories of times shared; it's comforting to know she is with the love of her life. Hugh, Joan, and you are in our thoughts and prayers with love -- Ross & Mary Ellen Cavanagh

Ed (Ruta), Mary Jo and Hugh,
I was really saddened to receive your phone call with news of your Mom's passing. I didn't know she had been so sick. We all have another angel to pray to. Joan was a very nice person who sure loved all of you and her darling Emily! Losing her will be tough for you but just try to remember her smile whenever you are feeling too much sadness. She is happy now with your Dad and so many other family members!
