Joan Barcal Obituary
Joan Elaine Barcal, 86, passed away peacefully September 20, 2022 in Sun Lakes, Arizona. Beloved sister of Gloria (Robert) Schrote, daughter of the late James and Lillian (nee Martinek) Barcal. Raised in Chicago's Brighton Park neighborhood, Joan graduated from Kelly High School and attended classes at Northwestern University before embarking on a long and fulfilling career in publishing sales in Chicago and New York City. After retiring from McGraw-Hill as the National Accounts Manager for Business Week Magazine, Joan moved to Arizona to golf and be close to family. Graveside service Wednesday, September 28, 2022, Bohemian National Cemetery, 5255 N. Pulaski, Chicago, IL 60630.
