Jo-Carol Sullivan Obituary
Jo-Carol Sullivan, nee Blumenthal, Age 74, of Hickory Hills, died on May 19, 2021 due to complications related to cancer.
Beloved wife of John Sullivan for 47 years. Loving mother of Kelly (James) Wyatt and Brian (Caitlin) Sullivan. Dearest grandmother of Lauren, Spencer, Jackson, Grace and Kate. Cherished daughter of the late Rose (nee Sujak) and the late Joseph Blumenthal. Treasured friend of many.
Jo-Carol was an elementary school teacher for over 30 years in School District 117, and served as a Hickory Hills Park District Commissioner for over 15 years, including serving as President.
Visitation, Sunday, May 23, 2021, 3:00PM to 7:00PM at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium, 7861 S. 88th Avenue, Justice, Illinois. Funeral, Monday, May 24, 2021, 10:00AM Prayers and Procession to begin from the funeral home to St. Patricia Church, 9040 S. 86th Avenue, Hickory Hills, Illinois for 11:00AM Mass. Jo Carol was a guiding light in my early days as a teacher. First Grade was never so lucky as to have this creative, spunky and fun-loving teacher at Dorn School. She was a good friend to many and will always be remembered as a Fine Person.
