Jimmy Aker Obituary

MARION – Jimmy Allen Aker, age 67, passed away Friday, Feb. 24, 2006, in the Holston Valley Medical Center.He was born in Smyth County to the late Blaine and Annie Glass Aker. He had worked Pepsi Bottling Company for over 34 years and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.Survivors include: wife of 44 years, June Aker; one son, Tim Aker, Belews Creek, N.C.; one daughter, Angie Reynolds and special friend, Mike Billings, Chilhowie; one brother, Dennis Blaine Aker; one sister, Ruby Aker Hopkins and husband Thomas, Kensington, Md.; three grandchildren, Terra Reynolds, Troy Reynolds and Chris Aker; nieces and nephews; a host of loving friends; and his special companion, Abby, also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27, 2006, at the Bradley's Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Neville Mozingo officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Angie, I remember in Groseclose as a girl daily waiting for my pepsi when your dad would tell me it was safe to go across the road to the store this was my daily highlight. Then I met and went all through my high school years with you "the Pepsi mans daughter"
