Army Veteran, Birder and Nature Photographer, age 73, of Brookfield, beloved husband of Jacqueline Kumery, (nee Lindberg); loving father of Jeanne (Richard) Ziolkowski and Jacqueline (Nicholas) Karnezis; loving grandfather of Meg Ziolkowski, Katie Ziolkowski, Cassi Karnezis and Nick Karnezis; brother to the late Richard (Toni) Kumery, uncle of four nieces. Visitation Wednesday, September 19, 2007, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Thursday, September 20, 2007, from 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m., at Hitzeman Funeral Home, Ltd., 9445 W. 31st Street, Brookfield. A special Gas Company memory is coming back from my after lunch walk with Roy Giersch and discussing our Grant Park bird sightings with Jerry. Amazing how many extinct species we had seen.

I had the honor to work with Jerry during my rpu days. He was a supervisor who cared about his people and was always willing to share his vast knowledge of the job.

I moved to main office from North Shop in 1964, into the Collection Dept. Jerry was a senior person then. Iremember his Squad days very well.
Jerry was a soft spoken, kind and gentle man. A good man.
