Jerry Fleming Obituary

Fleming, Jerry M. Dr. Jerry M. Fleming, age 76, of Chicago, IL, died Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at home. A graveside service will be held at Millville Cemetery in Panama City on Friday, March 30, 2012, at 4:00 p.m. Jerry was born and raised in Panama City, FL, but had resided in Chicago for the past 45 years. He served in the U.S. Army after graduating from Bay High School. Jerry was also a graduate of Florida State University and received his doctorate from Princeton University. He was a professor emeritus of psychology at Roosevelt University in Chicago, teaching there for 33 years, and serving as dean to the College of Arts and Sciences from 1979 to 1991. Jerry is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. & Mrs. Joe Fleming of Panama City, FL, sisters-in-law Juanita Fleming of Mexico Beach, FL, Roma Fleming of Douglasville, GA, and Pauline Fleming of Peary, FL, and host of nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial donations be made to the building fund of Immanuel Baptist Church, 216 College Ave., Panama City, FL 32401, or to Roosevelt University, 430 S. Michigan Ave., Chicago, IL 60605.

best administrator ever at Roosevelt University.
