Air Force Veteran Vietnam War, dear husband of Darlene (nee Bekavac), proud father of Jerry (Maria), Jeffrey (Shannon) and David, loving Opa of J.J., beloved son of Laura and Richard Waibel and the late John Diehl, son-in-law to Lucille and the late Anton Bekavac, fond brother of John (Judy) and Jeanne (Mark) Benson, brother-in-law and friend of Joe & Lu Smyth, John & Myrna Jurcev, Tony & Angie Chobot and Dan & Chris Byrne, uncle Jerry to many nieces and nephews. Member of Johnson-Phelps Post #5220 VFW. Funeral Tuesday, 10:15 a.m. from Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd St., to St. Linus Church for 11 a.m. Mass. Interment Holy Sepulchre. Dear Auntie Dee,
Our Love & prayers are with you & the boys today. I know how difficult this is for you, we wish we were there but we carry you all close to our hearts today. I have so many fond memories of Uncle Jerry! Especially when Marc & Jeff were little boys! He certainly was one of my favorites, Our family celebrations will never be the same without his special brownies!
