Jerry Berez Obituary

Berez, Jerry passed away at his home on February 3, 2002, after a courageous battle with cancer. Jerry's determined fight against cancer was no surprise to those who knew him. Jerry was a man who constantly defied the odds as he struggled against adversity to become a successful businessman. Jerry began his business career as a real estate sales person in Chicagi back in the 1960's. From that inauspicious beginning, Jerry formed a conglomerate of investments with substantial holdings in apartment and condominium units, retail shopping centers, commercial land and restaurants. Jerry will be remembered for his optimism and energy. Jerry set about every endeavor and relationship with zest. Jerry's legacy provides all of us with inspiring confirmation of what we can accomplish if we are willing to fix our hearts and minds fully into achieving our dreams. Jerry is survived by his sister, Harriet Kruse; his children, Linda, Susan, Teri, Gianni and Bailey; his nieces, Audree Brown and Lori Browne; nephew, David Kruse and their children. A Memorial service will be held on Friday, February 8, 2002, at noon, at El Camino Memorial Park, San Diego, CA.
