Dearest Ruth, Susan, Allan, Sandy, Paul, Edwin, Spouses, Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews:
I can not begin to express my deepest sympathy, and sorrow for your loss. Edwin was kind enough to send me a copy of the obituary.
I was so fond of Jerome/your father/brother/grandfather/uncle, and my first cousin once removed. I had no idea he was a great grandfather!
At his Mother and Father's 60th Wedding Anniversary party, I remember seeing photographs of him in uniform. The letters that he wrote to them while he was in the service were read out loud, and after the presentation, there was not one dry eye! I also recall hearing stories at the party, about his experiences during WWII that led to him being decorated.
I remember when Jerome and Ruth were in NY for a very very short time, but they still found the time to call and say hello to me.
It is my belief that while nothing can replace him, he will always be alive in our memories. A living person has left this earth, and I have put another living thing on this earth. I have had a tree planted in Israel in his memory.
I wish I had known earlier about this guest book, as I would have signed it immediately.
With much love and deep sympathy,
Susan Edlis

Dearest Aunt Ruth, Cousins Allen, Susie, and Sandy and families. My deepest condolences in this very sad time.
I have so many wonderful memories of Uncle Jerry and our families together. Uncle Jerry always gave me such kind words and encouragement.
I remember on one of my trips home from Israel, a few years back, Uncle Jerry picked me up bright and early, taking me to synagogue where we davened and put on tefillin.
May you be comforted along with the other mourners of Tzion and Yerushalayim.
Love always
Stevie
