Lederman, Jennie (nee Lerman), age 98, beloved wife for 62 years of the late Sidney, loving mother of Toby (the late Wilbert "Mike") Michelson and Arnold (Diane), adored Nana and Gram of Bobbi (Michael) Kingston, Scott (Karen) Michelson, Andrea (Lee) Cotton, Laura (Josh) Goodman and Rob (Michele) Lederman, proud "GG" of Sydnee Kingston and proud great-Grandmother Jennie of Max, Emily and Amanda Cotton, Seth and Alina Goodman, Justin and Samantha Lederman, cherished sister of the late Sally (the late Sam) Shapiro. Service Thursday, 9:30 a.m., at The Chapel, 195 N. Buffalo Grove Rd., Buffalo Grove (one blk. North of Lake Cook Road). Interment Westlawn. Dear Lederman Family,
Please accept out heartfelt sympathy. We will always remember her sweet smile and her gentle ways. You have wonderful memories and a great role model to follow.We certainly will miss her on the High Holidays.

I spent the first 11 years of my life (I turn 68 next month) in the Albany Park neighborhood. Toby Lederman was a teenager at the time and a bit older than me but Arnie was my playmate along with dozens of other kids on Albany Avenue. I lived at 4959 on the corner across from the park and Arnie and Toby and their parents lived a few doors south. During my life, I have aften thought of those days and the kids and their parents who worked so hard to bring their kids up right. Although I don't have a specific recollection of Jennie, I know that she, like all the mothers of the Albany Ave. kids, loved and nurtured their children, taught them the benefits of education. Arnie was a quiet kid and I hope he has had a good life. If he would ever want to reminisce with me about the other kids on the block, I would enjoy it. My condolences on the loss of your mother.
