Jeannette Wenzel Obituary

Jeannette D. Wenzel, 72, of Hillsboro, NH, died November 10, 2002, at her home, after a period of declining health.

Born in Manchester, NH on August 10, 1930, she was the daughter of Honore and Eleanor (Turcotte) Grenier. She resided in Weare, NH for many years before moving to Hillsboro fifteen years ago.

Mrs. Wenzel attended Manchester schools.

Before her retirement in 1992, she work as a nurse’s aid with the Hillsborough County Nursing Home for twenty-three years.

She was enjoyed collectibles particularly, her large collection of owls.

She was also an avid embroiderer.

Mrs. Wenzel was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who family was the center of her life.

She was married to Kenneth Herman Wenzel for forty-seven years. He died February 22, 1997.

Family members include four sons, Kenneth W. Wenzel of Manchester, NH, Denis J. Wenzel of Manchester, NH, David J. Wenzel of Weare, NH, Jason R. Wenzel of New Boston, NH; four daughters, Mrs. Robert (Linda S.) Coddington of Walden, NY, Mrs. Ronald (Sheila N.) Putnan of Greenfield, NH, Mrs. Jeffrey (Debra M.) Buxton of Henniker, NH, Mrs. Anthony (Roberta A.) Bergeron of Greenville, NH; fourteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Harriet Gelinas of Manchester, NH, Laura Prutzman of Penn; several nieces and nephews

Services: Calling hours are Tuesday from 3 to 7 PM at the Connor-Healy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 537 Union Street, corner of Concord Street, Manchester, NH 03104.

The funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:30 AM in the funeral Home.

Burial will take place in Pine Grove Cemetery, Manchester, NH .

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Concord New Hampshire Regional Hospice, 240 Pleasant Street, Concord, NH 03301.
