Jean Zimmerman Obituary

Zimmerman, Jean (nee Beverly Jean Sodini) of Naperville, IL, died peacefully at home on August 6th, 2005. She lived in Naperville for thirty years. Jean attended Merrill Senior High School in Wisconsin as well as Kelly High School in Chicago, Illinois. She loved and raised her family instead of pursuing her dream of being a nurse. Jean was born on January 6th, 1937 to John and Gretta Sodini in Chicago. She lived in Wisconsin in the early 1950's where she met the love of her life Vern Zimmerman. Vern and Jean moved to Illinois after their marriage in September of 1955. She is survived by her son Scott (Cheryl) of Midland, Michigan, her daughter Beth of Naperville, Illinois, a brother Donald (Joan) Sodini of Merrill, Wisconsin, sister Joan (Robert) Shramek of Henderson, Nevada, sister-in-law Judy Sodini of Adams, Wisconsin, sister-in-law Alice (Norman) Ziemke of Merrill, WI, sister-in-law Kathy Zimmerman of Merrill, Wisconsin, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty two years Vern, an infant son Christopher, her parents John and Gretta, her oldest sister Joyce and youngest brother John. At Jean's request, cremation has taken place, and a memorial celebration for family and friends will be held at a future date. In lieu of gifts or flowers, please take a moment to give thanks for the people you love in your life, for that would be the best testament to Jean's memory.
