Jean Ringo Obituary

Ringo, Jean May 14, 1944 – December 29, 2008. Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away peacefully at home in Alameda, CA. She was the youngest of nine children, born to parents Gertrude (Wade) Ringo and AC Ringo in Chicago, IL. Jean resided in Chicago for 49 years and moved to California in 1993. Jean graduated from Dunbar High School in Chicago in 1962. She received a BS in Business Administration from DePaul University, an MS in Community Economic Development from the New Hampshire College and an MA in Psychology in Marriage and Family Therapy from the Western Institute for Social Research. She was employed early in her career in accounting but later devoted her skills to counseling those in need. Jean will be remembered for her wonderful smile and sense of humor. She will be missed by family, friends and her many acquaintances, personal and professional. She will live forever in our hearts. Funeral services are Friday, January 9th, 2009, Chapel of Chimes, 4499 Piedmont Ave., Oakland, CA, 94611.
