Jean Howard Obituary

Rochester-Jean Mary Howard, 72, died June 5 2007, at Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester N.H.

She was born in Grimsby England on March 24, 1935 to Vera May Dobson and Samuel Dobson.

Jean was the life long companion of Richard Fournier who’s undying love for her was shared by all those who’s life she touched. Together they made their home in Rochester.

Jean was a talented crafter, enjoying knitting, sewing and quilting. She enjoyed making her home and was an immaculate house keeper. She worked early in life in the fishing industry and most recently enjoyed working with her customers sharing crafting ideas at Ben Franklin Crafts.

Prayers were said for Jean by friends and family members in churches from Australia, Poland, England and Germany that God would welcome her into his comforting arms this loving and admired wife, mother, grand mother, great grand mother and friend. May the good lord provide her peace and serenity in the kingdom of heaven.

Family includes her daughter and life partner Kathleen Ann Meatey and Mark Keeney of Newmarket N.H., son’s Kevin Howard (deceased), Gary and Lesa Howard of Eagle River Alaska, Kelly Patrick and Iwons Sylwia Howard of Lambsborn, Germany, David John and Patricia Ann Howard of Sickerville, New Jersey, grandchildren: Amy Meattey, William Dillon, Christina Meattey, Kelly Patrick Howard, Olivia Maria Howard, David John Howard 2nd, Jeffery Lee Howard, Adam Carrington Howard, Amber Danielle Gassner, Christopher Josphe Gassner, Trenton Mathew Howard, Karrissa Caitlyn Howard, Trevor Scott Howard, Triston Samuel Howard, Savannah Elizabeth Howard, great Grandchildren: Kayler Taylor Dillon and Victor Adamson Howard, siblings: Sisters, Moureen and Kris Skrokov of Raynella, Australia and Pat and Martin Hubbard of Cleethorpes, England. Brothers, John William Dobson of Grinsby, England and David and Susan Dobson of Derby England.


HOWARD-Jean Mary, 72, of Rochester, died on June 5, 2007 at Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester. A graveside service will be held on Friday June 8, 2007 at 1pm in MT, Calvary Cemetery in Somersworth, NH. So very sorry to hear about Jean, what a shock just ran into her a month ago and she was shocked that I had MS and had breast cancer.She prayed for me and I will do the same for her. I have know Jean for 32 years she was my first boss at Pease. We have allways kept in touch,will miss her so much,wish I would of heard sooner so I could attend her funeral.

I am so sorry to hear of Jean's passing . I worked with her when she worked at Jcpenney in the shoe dept. She was such a wonderful person , I enjoyed listening to her stories of her children and grand-children. She will surely be missed. My deepest sympathy to her family & friends.
