Jane was a patient lady and a diligent teacher. I never saw her angry and she kept her calm at all times. If ever there was someone devoted to their profession, It was Jane.

Jane was an influence on my becoming a physical education teacher. She would referee our Army-Navy basketball games at Westlake High. I also would see her at church, and often let her know how much she meant to me. I will truly miss her.

I had Jane Pease as a college Phys. Ed. teacher in the 1950's. She was the first gym teacher I ever liked. She treated us all with respect and encouraged us to compete with ourselves, not with others. I only wish I could have told her how much I learned from her and what a great teacher and human being she was - a great role model, too, for the many times I was called on to teach elementary school phys. ed.
