Walsh, Sr., James Thomas

James Thomas Walsh, Sr., U.S. Army Veteran, passed away June 5, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Jayne (nee Manderscheid); Loving father of Jimmy, Johnny, and Jenny; Cherished son of the late Dr. John Joseph and Mae Catherine Walsh; James graduated from St. Barnabas Catholic School and St. Ignatius, class of 1967. He graduated from Loras College in 1971. He went on to join the U.S. Army and after that he earned his PhD at the University of Illinois. James was a long time employee of Aircraft Gear in Bedford Park and the Chicago Transit Authority. Visitation Friday from 3:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. Funeral Saturday 8:30 a.m. at Curley Funeral Home, 6116 W. 111th St., Chicago Ridge to St. Linus Church, 10300 Lawler Ave., Oak Lawn for Mass at 9:30 a.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Alsip.
