James Wagner Obituary

WILLIAMSBURG - James G. Wagner Jr., 'Jim,' of Williamsburg, formerly of Thornton, Pa., passed away suddenly Monday, Dec. 22, 2003. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Margaret Wagner, and is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sandra Moser Wagner; his son, Robert J. Wagner and his wife, Debra, of Greer, S.C.; three grandchildren, Ashlee C., Robert C. and J. Colby Wagner; one sister, Judith McClain and her husband, James, of Brookhaven, Pa.; several nieces and nephews; other devoted family and friends. Mr. Wagner graduated from Goldey Beacom College of Wilmington, Del. He retired after 37 years of service in the financial department of Sun Oil Co. and was a member of the Sun Honor Club. He served his Lord and his community as a member of the Williamsburg United Methodist Church, a volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America in Thornton, Pa., and with the Concordville Fire Company. He was formerly a member of the Bethlehem United Methodist Church of Thornton, Pa., and was formerly a member of the West Chester Golf and Country Club of West Chester, Pa. Since retirement, he had worked as a courtesy clerk for The Fresh Market. The family will receive friends 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, at the Williamsburg United Methodist Church. Funeral to follow at 3 p.m. Interment will be private. Memorial donations may be made to: Sun Trust Bank, c/o The Wagner Grandchildren's Fund, 496 McLaws Circle, Williamsburg, VA 23185.
