Best friend anyone could ask for. About a month ago, I went to Jim's house and we spent the whole day together. We went out for breakfast, sat on the porch for a little while taking in the sunny weather. Then went inside & played 2 games of Chess. I'm glad I got to spend that time with him. I will never forget Jim EVER! I will see him again! in Heaven! When Jimmy first met Annie, I remember when he said "SHE IS THE ONE" and I am going to marry her! Annie was always the love of his life. We will all miss him dearly.

RIP Uncle Jimmy......I was so incredibly sad to hear of you passing. Your sweet and kind disposition I will never forget, nor will I forget your love of music and fun, and especially Hill Street Blues (and the theme song!). You will be greatly missed. I hope Auntie Annie finds comfort, as I know you were the love of her life.
With love,
Michelle Mickens (and Tim, Brent, Zach, Ethan, Meagan, and Julian)

It is the saddest words ever spoken. Jimmy Ross has died. a Lane brain. one of the most
intelligent person to know. Loved being in the sun, in his pool, or sitting outside shooting the brezze. loved telling old stories sitting by the fire. A son of a Chicago Policeman, his stories could fill
a book. Loved the blackjack or crap table.
Rode his Harley to work daily. Love you Jimmy, your little brother Ricky...
