Pappas, James Army Veteran WWII, age 89, beloved husband of the late Evangeline (nee Apostolos), loving father of Connie Pappas, Phyllis (Steve) Weigand, Tina (Franco) Tricoci, and Alice (Stan) Wolowiec, loving son of the late Phillip and Alice Pappaphilippopoulos, dear brother of Steve (Pat) Pappas, Rose Kritik, and the late Bessie Del Russo, loving great-grandfather and Papou of Steven, Lanisa, Lauren, Nico, Alayna, John, and Kim. Visitation Monday, 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at Transfiguration Chapel at Elmwood Cemetery, 2905 Thatcher, River Grove, IL. Services 10:00 a.m. Interment Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church, 525 Church Rd., Elgin, 60123. Arrangements made by Salerno's Rosedale Chapels. For information 630-889-1700
