I wrote a poem a few months ago for Uncle Jimmy, and it's entitled Did You Ever Know, so here it is:
Did you ever know
How many would miss you when you were gone
Did you ever know
How many times I would cry for you
Did you ever know
How many people loved you so
Even though we can't see you
We know you are still here
Even though we can't see you
Your soul still resides
You were loved by many
Young and old
You were loved by many
Family and friends
You died too soon
I wish I could have said goodbye
You died too soon
Now I'll never see you again
Did you ever know
How many would miss you when you were gone
Did you ever know
How many times I would cry for you
Did you ever know
How many people loved you so
Did you ever know
Love,
Your Niece

To the Family of J. Micek:
With our deepest sympathy in the loss of precious Jim.
Many friends from the Saint Mary of Nazareth Family feel what I feel.
Jim was a life well-lived and I hope the precious gift of hope, strenght and grace that he always had to make our world a better place provides each of you with the strenght to ease your pain and provide you comfort.
He filled our everyday with moments sweet and sad, with smiles and sometimes tears but most important with friendships formed and good times shared, laughters through many, many, many years.
Jim leaves us a well-lived legacy of Joy, pride, and pleasure a loving lasting memory that we will always treasure.
Jim I know I speak from all of us your friends from Saint Mary of Nazareth when I say...Thank you for sharing your life with us .
I (WE ALL) will deeply miss you always.
Your forever friend.

Que esta esticiendo My Friend? I'll be listening for you. We spent many a night working together. St. Mary's was a long time of "football"pizzas, dice games on slow nights, and laughter at the security desk. A friendship built strong that carried over when you came to Amersham."The Three Musketeers",you, me and Alan, were back in business,(monkey business!). We were not just co-workers,we were friends, family and I will miss you greatly. And Jim, Save me a room with a view.10-4. Take Care Big Guy, your friend Shanen,Cindy and the kids. We'll miss you!

I just wanted to send my deepest condolances to the Micek family. I worked on nites with Jim a few years back. We would get snacks before our shift started and just chat. Talking with him was good way to start a very long nite of work. He will be missed.

OUR HEARTS ARE BREAKING AT THE THOUGHT OF NOT SEEING YOU AGAIN.
YOU MADE US LAUGH. YOU HELPED US WHENEVER WE ASKED.

JIMMY, YOU'LL ALWAYS BE IN OUR HEARTS AND PRAYERS. WATCH OVER US.

I knew you as "Our NUC MED MAN". It was always a pleasure to un-lock the ER doors at Lake Forest Hospital and let you in. We might of only been able to chat for five to ten minutes a morning but there is now going to be a big void during those five to ten minutes. People don't realize how some one can touch their lives until that some one isn't there anymore. You always had a smile on your face and made it a point to stop and ask how I was and how my night had gone. I'll miss seeing you!
To Jimmy's family, I wish you well and hope you find comfort with the memories you all have.
With Fondest Memories,
Judi

Dear big brother I'll miss you. I guess the pepsi company will go bankrupt
and Congress pizzza will have to make deliveries to heaven. I will always remember all the good times we had working on the night shift together.
I guess they only pick the best to guard those pearly gates.
Love Ya!!!!!!

Me and my family will miss you dearly and we will see you one day
Until then......May you rest in peace.
Your forever friend.
