James Edward "Oscar" Larsen. Age 77. Lifelong Hegewisch/St Columba Parish resident. Passed away peacefully July 18, 2025. Graduate of Mendel Catholic High School. United States Army Vietnam Veteran. Worked at U.S. Steel Supply in Burnham retiring in 2013 from Atlas Tube Company. Loving partner of Michele "Micki" Maglis. Son of the late Lorraine nee Sapinski and Edward Larsen. Brother of the late Judy Sapinski. Brother-in-law of Mary Kay (late Don) Lepore. Uncle of Kristi (Tim) Peters and Tony Lepore. Great Uncle of Taylor, Khloe, Tori, Kaitlyn (also his Godchild), Kendall and Vinny. Faithful companion of MJ. Best friend for many years of John Abrams. Friend of many.
Private burial was held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Info Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, Chicago Heights 708-481-9230 and panozzobros.com.

Worked with Jim at USS Supply back in 1979 thru 1983. Was a very good employee never missed a scheduled Work Day. Jim was just a good person. Rest in Peace Jim.
