James Janachione Obituary

Janachione Sr., James Francis A long term resident of Northlake, IL, passed away on September 18, 2017, following a brief decline of health. Jim was born and raised in Chicago where he met and married his wife of 53 years, Dorothy Collins. During his lifetime, Jim served in the Korean War, enjoyed Chicago sports, attending Catholic mass and spending time with his family. He worked as a route supervisor in the Chicago loop for ARA services for 38 years. Jim was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dorothy; his parents, Rose Noga and Peter Janachione; his best friend and brother, Pete Janachione; his aunt, Josephine Howard and uncles, Mike and Frank Wiscons. Jim is survived by his children, Jim (Therese) and Cheryl (Pete) Janachione; his sister, Melody McGovern; his two grandchildren, Michael (Torie) and Kara (Sam) Janachione; his cousins, Joyce Morton and Mike (Lynda) Wiscons and his 4 nieces, Heather McGovern, Dawn (Larry) Crha, Jackie (Chris) Booth and Donna (Robert) Eckhorn. Services will be held at Queen of Heaven Cemetery Chapel, Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Please meet at the cemetery office at 9:30 a.m. for procession to the chapel.
