James Iocono Obituary

Mr. James V. Iocono, 83 of Lynn died on Wednesday at Union Hospital following a brief illness. He is the husband of the late Lucia (LaMacchia) Iocono who died in May of 2001.

Born in Lynn, son of the late Francesco and Giovanina Iacono. A graduate of Lynn English High School class of 1936, he also is a graduate of Mass Radio in Boston. Mr. Iacomo was a Corporal in the U.S. Army Air Corps, 312th Ferry Squadron during WWII involved in the battles and campaigns in Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe.

Mr. Iacono worked as an electronics technician for the MITRE Corp. in Bedford for over 23 years retiring in 1982. Prior to that he worked at the M.I.T. Lincoln Laboratory.

He leaves a son Frank R. Iacono of Lynn and a daughter Donna L. Crowley of Rehoboth MA. and her husband Richard. Brother of S. Frank Iacono of Lynn and Anna F. Campbell of Lynn and the late Madeline Baldini and Marie Civiello. Funeral services in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home 157 Maple Street Lynn on Monday at 9:00am. Interment in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park Peabody.

Funeral services in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home 157 Maple Street Lynn on Monday at 9:00am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Friends may call on Sunday afternoon 2:00-5:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be sent to the Hospice of the North Shore 10 Elm Street Danvers MA. 01923.
