James Felker Obituary
Felker Sr., James went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 7, 2010. He was well loved and will be sadly missed. He was born May 29, 1927 in Atlanta, GA. Preceded in death by father, Samuel Cooper Felker, mother, Mattie Rodgers, sisters, Bernice Wavers and Margie Bryant, brothers, Joseph Felker and Samuel Cooper Felker. Survived by brother, Willie Floyd, children, Harriett Felker, Jeannine Felker, and Lynn Felker-Boll of Columbus, OH and James Felker Jr. of Geismar, LA, grandchildren, James Johnson, Deandra Boll, Vanessa Lewis, Howard Boll, Omari Boll, Bernisha Felker, Samuel Felker, MyAlyce Felker, and a host of great-grandchildren. He was a soldier for the Lord, a Veteran of the U.S Army, retired from Coco-Cola, a long-time member of the Masons, and a foster grandparent for over 20 years. A Homegoing Service will be held Friday, January 15, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Diehl-Whittaker Funeral Service, 720 E. Long St. Columbus, OH 43203 where family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Rev. Dr. Melanie Williams, of Hilltop United Methodist Church officiating.
