James Bowling Obituary

WOODLAWN, Tenn. — James Robert Bowling, 76, of Woodlawn, Tenn., formerly of Princeton, died Saturday, October 11, 2008 at his home. Born April 25, 1932 at Hiawatha, he was the son of the late Cerling B. Bowling and Josephine Gertrude Hale Bowling.Mr. Bowling was a retired salesman for Virginia Foods. He was a member of the Church of Christ on New Hope Road in Princeton.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred Bowling and Louise Bowling; and one brother, Claude Wiley Bowling.Survivors include his wife, Dolores Meadows Bowling of the home; three sons, Kevin Bowling and his wife Tess of Princeton, Randy Hatcher and his wife Denise of Little Egg Harbor, N.J. and Rick Hatcher and his wife Joan of Cape May Courthouse, N.J.; three daughters, Deborah Fike and her husband Donald and Roberta Bowling all of Woodlawn, Tenn. and Angela Ellis and her husband Shane of Kistler; one brother, Cerling B. Bowling, Jr. of Mullens; one sister, Sylvia Jean Flanigan and her husband Richard of Princeton; and seven grandchildren.Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at the Rowland H. Bailey Funeral Chapel of the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Terry Lambert officiating. Interment will follow at the Bowling Cemetery at Spanishburg.Serving as pallbearers will be Frank Watkins, David Lambert, Jerry Thompson, Pat Carter, Larry Cecil and Harry Mann.Friends may call today from 6-8 p.m. at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton.
