James Allen Obituary
Allen, James Woodrow age 94, of Countryside. US Army Pacific Theatre Combat Veteran - WWII. Preceded in death by the love of his life Eleanor B. Allen (nee Korn), loving father of Bobby Gayle, James (Pam) and William, devoted grandfather of Michael Allen, Lisa Allen Patrick, Rob and Steve Allen, dear great-grandfather of Trinity, Isaac and Russell Patrick, cherished brother of Wilburn, the late Ila Mae and the late Ina Bea, fond uncle of Saundra Kay Taylor. Mr. Allen was a member of the Oak Forest Lodge #832 AF&AM. Visitation 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside, where funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday. Entombment Concordia Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Disabled American Veterans appreciated. Funeral info 708-352-6500.

We know it has been a while since we have all seen your dad, but we always asked about your dad to anyone who saw him at the track. We will remember all the good times at our table and all the laughter that we all shared. Your dad, grandpa, and great-grandpa was a wonderful man.
