Jack Tregillis Obituary

Jack C. Tregillis, 76, of Grand Rapids, Minn., died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2003 at his home. He was born Jan. 1, 1927 to Sidney and Mabel (Dahl) Tregillis in Grand Rapids where he was a lifelong resident. Jack served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and worked many years on the survey crew for Itasca County. He was a great supporter of youth hockey programs, and was instrumental in establishing the hockey arena in Grand Rapids. Jack also was a referee for the youth and high school hockey programs. He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and the Military Order of the Cooties all in Grand Rapids. Jack was a very avid deer hunter and sports enthusiast. Jack is survived by two daughters, Toni (Eugene) Russell of Seattle, Wash., Terry (Billy Edwards) Oakley of St. Paul, Minn.; one son, Jeff Tregillis of Shoreview, Minn.; three grandchildren, Bronwen Oakley, Chris, and Wade Russell; one great granddaughter, Aleshia Russell; one sister, Beverly Haden of Grand Rapids, Minn.; and a nephew, Robert Haden of Grand Rapids, Minn. VISITATION:5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 18 at the Rowe Funeral Home in Grand Rapids. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 19, at the Rowe Funeral Home in Grand Rapids.
