Jack Harris Obituary

Jack M. Harris, 74, died Thursday, August 21, 2003 at his residence. The Fitzgerald native lived most of his life in Savannah, was a graduate of Carlisle Military School, and attended Armstrong Junior College. He was a member of the Savannah Golf Club, Forest City Gun Club, Wilmington Island United Methodist Church and served many years with the Alee Shriners-Greeters Unit. He was an avid golfer and outdoorsman. His sons, Jack M. Harris, Jr. and Jonathan Clay Harris, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Nettie T. Harris; son, Jay Harris sister, Cecile H. Maclaurin; granddaughter, Lisa H. Adams and her husband, Sgt. George Adams, IV; two great-grandsons, Quentin and Tristin Adams, all of Savannah; many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Visitation: 5:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday, August 24, in Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors Islands Chapel. Mr.Harris was a patient here at candler outpatient therapy. He will be greatly missed by the staff here at candler.. He was so full of joy and laughs. Our deepest symphathy to the family of Mr Jack Harris... Especially his wife.....
