Dear Elaine and children,
I was very sad to hear of Jack's death. Both of you are very dear memories of growing up in LaGrange. I pray that God will comfort you. Having been married almost as long as the two of you, I can only imagine what his loss means to you. Please contact me if you just need to talk--or get away for a while.
Much love, Linda

To Cindy, Mrs. Fincher and the boys; I am sorry to hear of the passing of your father and husband. Jack gave me the first job I ever had when he hired me to work at Winn Dixie when I was 15. There was quite a crew of teenagers there during the two years I worked for Jack and Jack taught us all a great deal about being responsible and how to deal with the public. Jack demonstrated an amazing understanding of how to communicate with people from all walks of life with ease and compassion. These gifts have helped me in many situations throughout my personal life and my career. He will always be fondly remembered. My prayers and sympathy are with you. Sincerely, Kacey Costley Cox

To Mr. Finchers' Family,
I remember Mr.Jack from long ago at Winn Dixie, and then later on from seeing his "always smiling" face driving the DOT car. I never knew him personally but I could always pick him out, because of that beautiful ever present smile. I will miss seeing it now. My prayers and thoughts go out to you all. He was a great asset to our community, and will be sadly missed by a whole lot of people.
