DALIE, Jack M. 84, of Springfield, died at 1:50 a.m. Tuesday, October 5, 2004 in Eaglewood Care Center. He was born in Springfield, Ohio on February 17, 1920, the son of Walter F. and Dorotha (Willoughby) Dalie. He retired in 1978 as a Lieutenant with the City of Springfield Police Division after 31 years of service. He was the Past President of the Fraternal Order of Police, Secretary of the Retired Police Officers Association, life member and Past President of the Clark County Bowling Association where he was a member of their Hall of Fame, Eagles Aerie 397, Elks Lodge 51, Union Club, retired member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Vice President of the Springfield Credit Union, was an avid golfer and was a World War II Army Air Corp veteran having flown B-29's in the Pacific Theatre. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, W. Jeanne (Johnson); three children and spouses, Doruth Gay "D.G." and John Kilcher, San Diego, California, Jack D. and Cheryl Dalie and Fredrica and Michael Devine, Springfield, Ohio; one grandson, Jason and three great-grandchildren, Timmy, Nicholai and Sophie. He was preceded in death by a sister, Doradine. Friends may call in the CONROY FUNERAL HOME from 4-7 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home with Dr. Dean A. Elam officiating. Burial in Rose Hill Burial Park.
