I can't exactly remember what it was or what he did when I was a student at Mccracken now that I've come across this unfortunate news. I was a difficult child to teach and or manage (behavioral issues) I can't remember what it was Mr Cantor (as I knew him) said or did but everything in me remembers it was something special that his kindness helped me on my course to adjusting to life. Hopefully he'll remind me in Heaven when my time comes

Dear Audrey and family. My heart goes out to you in the passing of Jack. I knew him from my teaching days at Middleton. He was always very well respected and way ahead of his time in the field of Education. I learned so much from him that I still carry today.May his memory continue in all our hearts.

Audrey:
Jack was a supporter of Keshet before anyone knew the name. His openness to all students made a significant difference in the lives of countless children. His welcoming and warm smile and attitude was infectious and should be held as a model of all professionals working with children with disabilities.
Love and Sorrow,
Dave Gendel and the Keshet Family

Stories of my dad's life in Chicago before meeting my mom and in my parents' lives after were never complete without stories about Jack and Daddy. I know Jack's memory will always be for a blessing and that wherever they are now, Bernie was there to greet him with open arms. Sending love to all of you!

I knew Jack Cantor as the Principal of Middleton School in Skokie which my son attended from Kindergarten through 4th grade. I have always remembered and been grateful to him for his kindness, and his commitment to every student in his care. He was truly a role model for future school principals. My heartfelt condolences to Audrey and his family. Dovie Horvitz
