J. Staller Obituary

J. David Staller, 59, of Pottsville, died Sunday morning at Schuylkill Medical Center–East Norwegian Street.
Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, he was a son of the late Rev. Thomas and Muriel Severtson.
He was a 1972 graduate of Ukiah (California) High School, and later obtained his master's degree in pastoral counseling and his Doctorate of Divinity and Theology from Newburgh (Indiana) Theological Seminary.
He was a Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam Conflict.
He had worked as a respiratory therapist at the former Genesis Health Care Center, Hamburg. He also worked locally for West Coast Video and Charlesworth Security.
Surviving are his wife of 12 years, Crystal Staller; five children, Abigail Fegley (Wayne), Beavertown, Jonathan Abrahamson, Fort Riley, Kan., Joseph Abrahamson, State College, Taylor Staller and Annika Staller, both of Pottsville; five grandchildren, Darian, Braydon and Zoe Abrahamson, Rachel and Rebekah Abrahamson.
Relatives and friends may visit with the family from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Dutcavich Funeral Home, 200 Sunbury St., Minersville.
